After graduating with engineering degree, I joined a well established university as a teaching assistant. That was one of the best jobs, I ever had in terms of experience, training and exposure. One thing, I observed was, some of my colleagues, thought they were 'know it all' guys and they expected the same from me. I never tried to justify myself or my degree, though being accepted to couple of top universities for graduate school was, itself a proof. Nevertheless, they continued to boast on what they knew and how much knowledge they had. When I went abroad for graduate studies, I got to know that people speak only about things they know well. But at our place, we want to comment on everything and every where. After as many as five years have passed and I am still facing the same situation. I wonder if people around me, may think how limited my knowledge is? But I am not afraid of this thing, what I am afraid of is, our attitude as a nation or as a group. We do not need 'know it all' guys, we need 'know it well' guys. I am thankful to my undergraduate thesis supervisor (my master), who trained me a lot. Once in a meeting with him, I said, "I think this technology works like.....". He said, it does not matter, what you think, speak with the facts and figures. Besides the behaviors mentioned above, a byproduct is, people insist that they are right even when they are not or in doubt. This will keep on happening in a place where people do not use logic for debate, can not keep calm in discussions and get emotional on small issues.
