This was a really interesting talk by Russel Foster on TED. I was fascinated by the idea that we should create a heaven for our sleep, meaning we may make it a pleasure but not a wastage of time or something. So, one of the side effects of getting less sleep is obesity as loss of sleep give rise to hunger hormones and brain asks for more food. Sleep gives you creative thinking, decision making effectiveness. We have heard the famous saying, "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise". Russel says this is just a myth but personally, I am strong believer of this as I have experienced it first hand. In my childhood, it was my habit to get up early in the morning, meditate and then revise my school lessons. I will never forget the pleasure of early morning breeze, I wonder, how long it may take me to get back on that same habit. I wish to try hard.
